The drawing is part of a large series of Centaur subjects two of which were published by Jean Cailleux, Centaurs, Fauns, Female Fauns, and Satyrs among the Drawings of Domenico Tiepolo, The Burlington Magazine, CXVI, supplement to June 1974, figs. 1-88. Numerous sheets similarly numbered are in the Lehman Collection in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The British Museum and at Princeton.
