mark of Robert Jones, London, 1798, the teapot stand with mark of Henry Nutting, London, 1798, the teapot, London, date letter overstruck, mark IS over II
Comprising teapot and teapot stand, coffee-pot, tea-caddy, sugar-bowl, and cream-jug, each shaped oval, with fluted angles, bright-cut engraved with flower and foliage garlands and swags, a circular laurel cartouche to each side, traces of engraving to some, the tea-caddy, teapot and coffee-pot each with domed fluted cover and wooden finial, the tea-caddy also with key, the sugar-bowl with reeded swing handle, the coffee-pot on pedestal foot, the tray on four ball feet, the coffee-pot, teapot, and tea-caddy marked on base and cover, the tray marked on base, the sugar-bowl and cream-jug marked on side
