Two large Minton chargers
one painted with Neptune seated in a chariot pulled by horses amongst winged putti, nymphs and sea beasts, the other with Ariadne seated in a grotto with Bacchus to her side, and nymphs and putti in attendance, each indistinctly signed C. S. Waegenuz, one within a yellow-ground border painted with brown swirls, the other within a yellow and ochre ground border painted with a band of gadroons beneath egg and dart ornament and a coat of arms, incised marks, one with year cypher for 1864 (light glaze crazing, some damages and restoration to the frames) -- 64cm. diam., in giltwood frames
