A cloisonne enamel vase
17th Century
of archaic bronze hu form, with globular body, waisted neck and spreading foot, the shoulders applied with two gilt-bronze lion mask and loose ring handles, decorated with a band of grapevine and scrolling leaves, above bands of scrolling lotus and buds in coloured enamels on a turquoise ground, divided by bands of flowerheads and scrolling leaf pattern on lapis lazuli grounds -- 17in. (43.2cm.) high, (old damages).
