in ink and colour on paper depicting an Immortal riding upon a donkey amongst attendants, upon cloud scrolls, all beneath a demon amongst further clouds and a stylised constelation, calligraphic panel entitled 'Wenchang dijun yinzhiwen' (Study of the Secret Benevolence (acts) of the God of Literature), dated Jiaqing Period, fifth year (1800-1801) in the summer of gengshen year (1800) -- 54in. x 18¾in. (137cms x 47.5cms), (light surface dirt, some creasing).
