A pair of Cantonese lobed tapering vases with flaring necks
19th century
everted foliate rims, moulded butterfly handles and guei dragons to the shoulders, painted and gilt with sprays of pomegranates, peonies, chrysanthemums and blossoming branches, the necks with moulded bands of simulated tied bamboo canes, all within borders of butterflies, dragons, shou characters and further flower sprays -- 24¾in. (63cms) high.
