with widely flaring everted rim, painted and gilt with a central roundel of ladies, dignitaries and attendants on a terrace, all within a border of alternating panels of similar scenes on a ground of precious objects and scattered flowers, the rim with birds and bats in flight amongst further flowers and foliage -- 16½in. (42cm.) diam.
