A Mediterranean Port with Peasants resting by a Fountain

The present work, which is inscribed on the stretcher 'Agostino Colaceroni scolaro del Padre Pozzi Gesuita', can be compared with a pair of signed paintings exhibited with Chaucer Fine Arts, London, Old Master Paintings and selected works by Giovanni Paolo Panini, Oct. 26-Dec. 14, 1990, nos. 21 and 22.

Agostino Collaceroni, a pupil of Andreas Pozzo (1642-1709), was active in Bologna circa 1720.
