carved of oak, in the form of a bear's head with well-defined features, including pointed oval eyes, a large rounded nose with flaring nostrils, a wide mouth inset with abalone shell and animal teeth, and upright ears with a cylindrical metal pipe bowl nestled between them, the underside featuring a human figure with mask-like face clinging to the bear's lower jaw, back of bear's head with drilled hole and inscription: 16/8318
