The first decorated in gold, silver and coloured takamaki-e and hiramaki-e [high and low relief lacquer] with dragons and clouds on a black ground sprinkled with gold flakes, 26in. (66cm.) high; the second decorated in similar techniques with pine, bamboo and plum blossom, both with slight old damage
