The first decorated in maki-e [sprinkled] lacquer with hanabishi-mon [stylised flower crests] and karakusa [floral patterns], old damage, 23¼in. (59cm.) long; the second a black-lacquered utsubo, decorated with mitsudomoe-mon [three-comma crests], 38 3/16in (97cm.) long; the third an ebira decorated in maki-e [sprinkled] lacquer with dragonflies and kikyo-mon [Chinese bellflower crests]
