A Staffordshire creamware model of St. George and the dragon
of Wood type, the saint wearing full armour, modelled seated astride his rearing horse, the dragon writhing on the ground beneath, on an oval rocky mound base, enriched in brown specks and streaked green, yellow and ochre glazes, circa 1785 (restored, tail broken off, spear a replacement) -- 16.5cm. high
