A Staffordshire group of a gardener and a girl
probably Sir Joseph Paxton, the elderly gentleman wearing jacket, waistcoat, breeches and stockings, modelled standing holding a spade in his right hand, a basket over his left arm, the girl modelled standing beside him holding a garland of flowers, on a scroll-moulded mound base, mid 19th century (small chip to underside of base, minute glaze chip to girl's hat, rubbing to gilding and small glaze cracks) -- 29cm. high
