When Terry and Julie Pringle purchased the Lamborn family property on Howell Mountain in late 1997 their first thought was to simply grow and sell grapes. That idea lasted about one month. The 1998 Outpost Zinfandel is the result of what happened since then. The wine took nearly one year to ferment and spent 16 months in barrel. Thomas Brown and Ehren Jordan are the winemakers.
