Edo Period (Late 17th Century)
Decorated in iron-red, green, yellow, blue and black enamels with a continous band of peonies and foliage, the shoulder with a band of hanabishi pattern below an elaborate design of stylised chrysanthemums and tendrils, the base with a wide band of scrolling pattern, the mouth with a European copper mount, late 18th/early 19th century, slight old damage
