A LARGE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL VASE
Mark of Hayashi Kodenji, Late Meiji Period (Circa 1900-1910)
Of elongated ovoid form with a splayed neck, the grey-blue enamel ground worked in gilded wire and polychrome enamels with four carp amid waterweed, with applied partially silvered copper rim and foot, the base also enamelled, with a silvered wire stylised wave design around the enamel mark of Hayashi Kodenji, consisting of the katakana symbol Ko on a flaming pearl
