With box signed by Shimaoka Tatsuzo (1919), Showa/Heisei Period (Late 20th Century)
Of rectangular plan with very slightly narrowing sides, square shoulder and short neck with everted mouth, engraved and filled with slip in a herringbone pattern in the potter's usual style, covered in a bluish-white glaze with a cross shape superimposed in brown on each side, with potter's mark on the base
