The marquise-cut diamond weighing 2.63 carats with baguette-cut diamonds to each side
With report No. 1013073 dated 22 March 2001 from the Gubelin Gemlab, Switzerland, stating that the diamond is D colour, VS1 clarity. With aditional note stating that the diamond is type IIa.
Accompanied by the original receipt for £175, dated 9 February 1933, from Geo. Attenborough & Son, 193, Fleet Street, Temple Bar

The type IIa diamonds are considered to be one of the purest forms of diamond, having negligible traces of nitrogen. The lucidity of these stones coupled with the highest colour are often associated with the finest diamonds from the Golconda region of India
