Robert-Charles Chatin will include this painting in his forthcoming Charreton catalogue raisonné.

The first owner of this painting, Dr Pakowski, who worked at Clermont Hospital, was a friend of Charreton. He acquired a collection of around fourteen pictures from the artist.
