This pastel closely resembles the painting Pêcheur et sa famille, documented in M. Le Pelley Fonteny's Léon Augustin Lhermitte, Paris 1991, no. 103, p. 123. Painted in 1912, this oil is now in the collection of the Kircaldy Museum and Art Gallery in Scotland.
