A French purple heart, tulipwood and ormolu mounted table à écrire, 19th century
in the Louis XVI style, the diamond marquetry top with ebony and boxwood crossbanding surrounded by a low pierced gallery above a foliate scrolled frieze with gilt tooled blue leather lined slide, each table end with conforming frieze drawer, the canted corners displaying floral mounts, above egg-and-dart collared octagonal rope strung leg with foliate capped feet, losses, one leg loose -- 32½in. (82.5cm.) wide, 30¾in. (78cm.) high, 18¾in. (47.5cm.) deep
