A .45 20IN. SHARPS FACTORY CONVERSION SPORTING RIFLE, NO. C,45001, CIRCA 1865, CONVERTED BY SHARPS, CIRCA 1877
Heavy octagonal barrel marked OLD RELIABLE, Bridgeport address, German-silver fore-sight and Lawrence rear sight, caliber designation marked on left barrel flat CAL.45 20, converted Sharps carbine action and butt stock, double set-triggers, walnut fore-end (small section of wood missing from right side)
30 inch (76.2 cm.) barrel
Retaining considerable original blue finish to barrel and some traces of original color to action, wood with some marks and lose as noted.
