Further details
Edward Mortlemans was born in London and was educated at Carlingford College. He then studied at Upper Hornsey Road Evening Art Institute, the Central School of Arts and Crafts and the Slade School of Fine Art under Randolph Schwabe. Mortlemans has worked principally as a mural painter, advertising artist and as an illustrator of historical subjects, mostly in pen and ink or watercolour and gouache.
