Further details
Charles MacIver Grierson was born in Queenstown, Ireland and educated at Plymouth. He went on to study at the Westminster School of Art and exhibited at principal London galleries from 1885, including the Royal Institute, the Royal Academy and at Suffolk Street. In 1892 he was elected into the Royal Institute and the Pastel Society in 1904. His work has remained widely popular and he is regarded as having worked principally as a genre painter, working in watercolour, oil and pastel.
