An ivory netsuke of a recumbent ox
Kyoto school, 19th Century
lying with its forepaws folded beneath its lowered head which is turned to one side, a rope halter passes through a ring through its nose, the details naturalistically defined, light horn inset eyes, signed Ransen -- 1 7/8in. (4.6cm.) wide, (very light wear).
