An ivory netsuke of a monkey
19th Century
carved seated with its head turned to the rear, holding a large peach in its hands, the features naturalistically defined -- 1 5/8in. (4.2cm.) wide; and another ivory netsuke of a rabbit, carved seated kneeling down eating a pomegranate with leafy stalk in its hands, incised signature to base -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) wide, (inset eyes missing from rabbit).
