An ivory okimono
19th Century
of a religious group, a standing female deity wearing long ornately decorated robes, with her hair tied at the back with ribbon, holding a rod in one hand, stands above rockwork, a bearded old man holding a wrapped baby infant in both hands seated before her, inlaid in mother of pearl, horn and lacquer, signed on a rectangular reserve -- 9 1/8in. (23.1cm.) high, (cracks, losses to the items held by the female deity).
