A lacquered wood rectangular cabinet
19th century
with lower sliding drawer beneath six smaller drawers, the upper compartment with four sliding doors to the front, decorated in red, brown and gold lacquer and applied with forty eight gilt bronze menuki, two further loose, with scenes of figures in boats, on riverbanks amongst pine and flowering plants, precious objects and mythical characters amongst clouds, the upper surface with birds and crane in flight -- 23in. (58.5cms) high, (some losses and old wear).
