A lacquer rectangular box and cover
Meiji Period
the exterior decorated in gold, aokin, silver, black and red takamaki-e and shell with a cockerel and hen amongst flower sprays, all on a gold lacquer ground, the interior in black lacquer with gold mura-nashiji, the base in black lacquer with gold nashiji, signed to the lid 'Kajikawa saku' with red lacquer seal.
