An Imperial Satsuma ovoid vase
Meiji Period
with everted neck and slightly spreading foot, painted and gilt with two panels of various flower sprays issuing from behind a brushwood fence, on a blue ground with floral and geometric gilt patterns -- 7 7/8in. (20cm.) high, signed and sealed, blue enamel mon, (minor gilt rubbing, flaking).
