Meiji Period
painted and gilt with a panel of bijin entertaining gentlemen on a terrace within a river landscape, the reverse with ladies and children gathered amongst street traders, shaped panels of figures at leisure reserved to the shoulders, all on a ground of geometric motifs -- 11.1in. (28cm.) high, signed, (some rubbing to gilt).
