painted and gilt with two panels, one of young girls catching crickets for a scholar, the other vase depicting girls catching butterflies with bijin, each decorated to the reverse with figures gathered below pine trees and trailing wisteria with cranes in flight above, on a ground of numerous birds amid bamboo -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high, signed.
