A Shino bowl
17th/18th Century
the shallow bowl with flattened everted rim and three short feet, decorated in cobalt blue under a thick white glaze with two poppy buds emerging from grasses, the rim with further stylised flowers -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) wide, (firing fault to part of the rim, areas of glaze pulling).
