A Kakiemon tapering beaker
late 17th Century
with shaped slightly everted rim and short foot, painted in blue, turquoise and iron-red enamels with an exotic bird perched on a flowering shrub issuing from rockwork, the interior with a stylised flowerhead, chocolate rim -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) high, (small chip to exterior of rim, minor enamel rubbing).
