An Imari charger
circa 1700
painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with a central roundel of peonies and prunus, within a border of peonies and chrysanthemums issuing from behind brushwood fences and carp swimming amongst foaming waves -- 15¾in. (40cm.) diam; a foliate rimmed lobed bowl, decorated with irises, peonies and chrysanthemums; and a further bowl with lotus and chrysanthemums -- both 8in. (20.3cm.) diam, (all with some damage).
