A pair of Imari baluster jars and covers
19th Century
with knop finials, decorated in underglaze blue, gilt and various coloured enamels with a band of ho-o in flight amongst flora and foliage, between shaped panels of prunus, bamboo and pine issuing from rockwork, below a collar of alternating panels and lappets to the foot -- 12½in. (32cm.) high.
