A PAIR OF NORTH ITALIAN GILTWOOD FAUTEUILS
19th Century, probably Turin
Each with foliate and ribbon twist - carved padded back, arms and seat covered in green striped silk velvet, one carved with musical instruments, the other with pastoral trophies, the foliate carved arm terminating in stiff-leaf bulbous terminals and with foliate supports, the fluted seat-rail centred by a pastoral trophy, on turned spirally- fluted tapering legs carved with foliage and terminating in toupié feet, each with paper label inscribed 'M.Cohen', regilt (2)
