Each with waved channelled toprail trailed with vines and centred by an acanthus and scallop-shell clasp, the padded back, outswept C-scroll and foliate-trailed arms and drop-in seat upholstered à chassis with light blue floral silk, the base of the stiles carved with asymmetric foliate-trailed C-scrolls, the arm supports issuing from rockwork C-srolls, the serpentine-fronted channelled apron with central acanthus and shell clasp, on foliate-trailed channelled cabriole legs and scroll feet, both stamped PERE GOURDIN, one with handwritten label '89/4', regilded (2)
