A gentleman's waistcoat, of ivory satin, with high neck, applied with black and pink satin forming trompe l'oeil lapels, the collar and pockets similarly applied, the fronts embroidered with ivory chenille, sequins and metal thread, the original buttons replaced with black buttons set with faceted clear pastes, circa 1785-90
