A formal court robe (chi'fu) of blue silk kesi,
woven with nine gilt dragons amongst green and blue cloud bands, with a sea-wave border and gilt striped li shui below, 19th century, (distressed, repair, glued); an informal robe of midnight blue satin, embroidered with cranes, butterflies and bats in flight amongst peonies, lotus and further flowers, circa 1900; and another informal robe with flowers embroidered in 'three blues' reapplied onto black satin, the ivory satin sleevebands worked in Peking Knot, (damages) (3)
