An oak chest, Lake District, late 17th/early 18th century
with a triple panel lid, above a profusely carved front with scrolling frieze initialled and dated E P 1700, above three panels carved with rosette-filled scrolling foliate decoration, with a twin panelled drawer below, the uprights and stile feet all with incised detail -- 47½in. (121cm.) wide, 32in. (82cm.) high, 21in. (53cm.) deep
