An oak cradle, English, 18th century
later carved overall with a shaped canopy and canted sides, on rockers, with lead liner, the canopy with engraved plaque "Formerly in the possession of the Earl of Shrewsbury & Talbot (Premier Earl of England) and used for many generations by members of the family. Purchased at Ingestre Hall Sale, Feb 1927" - 37in. (94cm.) long, 27½in. (70cm.) high, 14in. (36cm.) wide
