Two Russian carved and stained ivory sewing-boxes
19th Century
One with a hinged lid with canted, pierced edges surmounted by a red velvet pin-cushion, enclosing a blue paper-lined and mirrored interior, the frieze decorated with foliate trails and pierced panels, on bracket feet - 14cm. high x 23cm. wide x 15cm. deep; And a similar box dated on the front of the lid 1826 - 15cm. high x 23cm. wide x 15cm. deep (2)
