A PAIR OF REGENCY WHITE-PAINTED BERGERES
Each with a padded back, sides and seat-cushion covered in green ribbed cotton, the panelled arms and apron with paterae, on ring-turned reeded legs headed by clasped foliage, brass caps and castors, the front castors stamped 'COPE'S PATENT', one inscribed in pencil, probably by the upholsterer, 'John Milne Dec 20 - 1833', the other inscribed in pencil 'J. Drows' (?), the decoration refreshed, lacking one patera (2)
