Second half 18th Century
The rectangular moulded twin-flap top enclosing a gilt-tooled orange leather-lined writing-surface with flap to the centre, the rear flap enclosing a well fitted with divisions and pen-trays, lifting to reveal a fitted interior of pegeon-holes and drawers above a simulated drawer between lopers, with three graduated hardwood-lined drawers, the sides with carrying-handles, on later shaped bracket feet, the handles original, three internal drawers and the astragals of the internal door replaced
