A George Jones majolica pale-blue-ground tapering jug
the reeded handle with entwined rope-twist bands, moulded with a continuous band of stiff leaves issuing corn, below a border of stylised acanthus, the rim and footrim moulded with a rope-twist band, the interior in pale-lilac, shape 1806/2, impressed numeral and GJ monogram, circa 1870 (hair-line crack to rim) -- 14cm. high
