A Minton majolica two-handled game pie dish, cover and liner
the finial modelled as a sleeping hound recumbent on a bed of ferns with shooting bag, gun and powder flasks, the dish moulded with a pheasant within a cartouche, the reverse with a hare within a similar cartouche, between boughs of holly and reserved on a basket-weave- moulded ground, on four paw feet, shape 964, impressed mark, year cypher for 1865 (small chip and minor staining to liner, the tureen with small chip), the tureen -- 43cm. wide
