A French gilt-metal and green marble striking urn clock and garniture, late 19th/early 20th century
The urn-shaped case with detachable cover with pineapple finial and anthemion pierced band, with half-clad female figures to the sides and Mercury mask to the front, on stepped marmo verde antico plinth and raised on toupie feet, the white enamel Roman chapter ring with skeletonised centre, pierced gilt-metal hands, a door to the rear opening to the twin barrel movement with strike on bell -- 23¾in. (60.5cm.) high; and the pair of side urns en suite, also with detachable covers and the bodies cast in low relief with dancing maidens -- 17¾in. (44.5cm.) high (3)
