A Continental wall regulator, 20th century
The rectangular case with stepped and moulded top, the front with upper and lower doors, the lower with bevelled glass panel, with brass bezel to the 11in. diameter silvered dial of regulator format, blued steel hands, the movement with tapering plates and four back-screwed pillars, screwed to a brass bracket on the backboard, wheels with six crossings, with dead beat escapement and maintaining power, the wood rod pendulum with brass bob swinging against a silvered beat scale on the backboard, with brass weight -- 57in. (145cm.) high
