A French striking picture wall clock, mid 19th century
Depicting a port scene, later dial inset into a church tower, tear to centre, within giltwood and composition frame, the twin barrel movement wound through the front, with strike on off-set gong, the front plate stamped GITEAU A PARIS, also with the backboard also with Giteau's paper retail label with Palais Royal address -- 35¼ x 27¾in. (89.5 x 70.5cm.)
